If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
- The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!
Cruise Itinerary
8:00 - 8:30 | Travel from Hanoi
Pick up at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and start the 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau Port if you use the transfer service (doesn’t include in the cruise price).
11:45 - 12:30 | Embark - Lunchtime
Arrive at the pier and embark on Calypso Junk by transfer boat. Listen to the cruise briefing and receive your room key.
Have lunch while cruising in the magnificent Halong Bay, admiring the fascinating nature, then anchor at Lan Ha Bay area.
Visit Dark & Bright Cave
In the afternoon, join a tour of hidden parts of the bay, the area of Dark & Bright Cave.
You will share a sampan with other tourists with a local rower or kayak through the cave under the mountain. Then you can see a wonderful well like a dragon's eye surrounded by mountains. This is a very beautiful sight that visitors like the most.

Back on board at sunset
Return to Calypso Junk to relax after the cave tour. Afterward, you may enjoy happy hours, swim in the pool, or take part in a cooking demonstration and food décor with our Chef.
Have dinner and be free
Savor an amazing dinner in the restaurant then be at leisure. Guests may try squid fishing, chatting, singing karaoke (before 22:00), or lazing around.

Tai Chi Session - Breakfast time
For any early bird, participating in a Tai Chi Class, and seeing the sunrise is a wonderful way to start the day.
Breakfast will be served in the restaurant after that.
Travel to Trung Trang Cave
Later, you get on a tender to reach Gia Luan Pier on Cat Ba Island.
Then you take a bus route for about 20 minutes to visit Trung Trang Grotto, a special place to keep the significance of Karst for millions of years. During the trip, you will be immersed in the wild fresh natural scenery of Cat Ba National Park.

Return to the main cruise and have some free time before checking out your cabin.
Enjoy the beauty of Lan Ha Bay for the last time in your lunch while the junk cruises back to the mainland.
11:00 - 11:30 | Disembark time
When the ship reaches Tuan Chau Pier, you will get on a tender to get back to the waiting lounge.
14:30 - 15:00 | Back to Hanoi
Get on your shuttle bus or limousine (book with an extra fee) to travel back to Hanoi in the afternoon. End of services.

8:00 - 8:30 | Transfer to Halong
Get ready at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quater and get in your driver’s car to reach Tuan Chau Pier (the transfer fee is not included in the cruise price).
11:45 - 12:30 | Get on board - Lunchtime
From Tuan Chau Wharf, board the Calypso cruise ship by a tender. You’ll be welcomed by the crew with a glass of fresh water and warm/cold towels; Then check in your room.
The cruise takes you into Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay. You can enjoy lunch at the restaurant while gently admiring the magical limestone mountain scenery.
Explore Dark & Bright Cave
Visit the unique Dark & Bright Cave in the afternoon. Here, you’ll experience directly on bamboo boats going into the Karst well through a cave arch through the mountain. This is one of the most exciting and anticipated activities on the tour.
For those interested in kayaking, you can choose to kayak and explore this place by yourself.

After returning to the cruise ship, you can choose to swim near the boat or swim in the sundeck swimming pool to relax.
This is also the "Happy Hour" when you can enjoy drinks and watch the sunset. Later, guests may learn how to make Spring rolls in the cooking class.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the cruise's restaurant after an active day.
Afterward, you can participate in some evening activities such as night squid fishing, playing chess, singing karaoke (until 22:00), and taking a rest.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise and start a new day with Tai Chi exercises on the sundeck. Light breakfast is served at the restaurant later.
Discover Viet Hai Village
A small day boat picks you up to go through Lan Ha Bay to Cat Ba Island. Cycling a short distance of about 5km to Viet Hai village - a small village located in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by the high mountains of Cat Ba National Park.
The area has become popular with foreign tourists but has yet to attract mass tourism so it remains very unspoiled. If you don't like cycling, you can go by electric car.

Have lunch on the day boat
Return to the pier and board the tender to travel further to the other side of Lan Ha Bay. Then, the boat anchors in a beautiful and quiet place for lunch.
Kayak in the Tai Queo Area
Afterward, you and your travel companions will kayak around the Tai Queo Cave area. Let’s sail to the cave through limestone mountains to reach a lake surrounded by limestone mountains, known as the "Dragon's Eye”.
Relax in Ba Trai Dao
The boat moves to Ba Trai Dao Beach. You are free to swim in this beautiful, clean area and have a moment to unwind. Then enjoy the fruits as the day boat returns to the Calypso Junk.
Sunset Activities on board
Return to Calypso Cruise during dusk. Enjoy hours of fun on the sundeck with drinks, join a cooking class, or relax in your cabin.
Enjoy dinner
After a day full of fun activities, have dinner at the restaurant and participate in activities on board. Overnight at Lan Ha Bay.

Activities: Using a day boat to travel on the 2nd day
Morning time
You can wake up early to enjoy the amazing sunrise and start a new day with Tai Chi exercises on the sundeck.
Then, go to the restaurant on board for a light European-style breakfast at the buffet counter.
Visit Trung Trang Cave

Returning to Calypso Junk, you can take a cool shower, prepare luggage to check out, and then have brunch at the cruise's restaurant.
11:00 - 11:30 | Disembark
You will be taken back to Tuan Chau by a tender from the Calyso Junk. Say goodbye to the staff and get off.
14:30 - 15:00 | Return to Hanoi
Travel from the pier to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter (book the transfer with an extra fee). Drop off and end the trip.

Nice trip. The staff is very good to us. Overall a memorable experience. I feel like the 3D2N cruise will be better as two days on board is short, we only stay for around 24 hours.

Fantastic
The cuisine was excellent. The kayaking and cave visit tours were just amazing. We loved our new acquaintances on board, and the staff was incredibly kind. Even though the beds were somewhat rough, we managed. Overall still good

3-day tour
My husband and I had a great time on this cruise. I prefer a 2-night trip over a 1-night cruise since the latter would be too rushed.
Daisy, the manager, was helpful, and her English was excellent. English was a hurdle with the other personnel.
The activities were fantastic; kayaking was enjoyable, a day excursion to Cat Ba Island was amazing, and cycling around the island was nice.

2 days in Halong Bay
I took the two-day cruise in Jan. The cruise was well-managed, and the whole experience was quite positive. However, the meal was pretty average. Vietnamese cuisine is recognized for its rich flavor, however, the food was rather dull. I hope they can fix this as other aspects were good enough.
